CELEBRATE WITH US:
THE PEGGY SOCIETY LONDON 2nd ANNIVERSARY ART DAY
Friday, 06th October 2017

The Peggy Society London is pleased to announce an all-day itinerary on Friday 6th October to celebrate its founding in 2014.

Since its inception the Peggy Society has organised events in museums, galleries, auction houses and artist studios connecting past interns with each other and celebrating the spirit of Peggy Guggenheim's life and museum. It included a visit to Dr. Rylands talk at King's Place, a screening of Art Addict, A behind the scenes tour of Sotheby's as well as many collaborative events with the YPA and Courtauld Alumni.

Our day will begin with a tour of Lisson Gallery’s off-site show EVERYTHING AT ONCE from 10am – 12 noon at The Store, 180 Strand, London WC2R 1EA in association with YPA and Courtauld alumni.

After breaking for lunch we’ll continue on to Frieze Art Fair from 2pm – 6pm for which we’ve sourced a very limited number of steeply discounted passes. We’ll be touring around the fair visiting our favourite booths at both Frieze and Frieze masters; you’re welcome to explore at your own pace. Since places are limited buying tickets in advance for this portion of the day is required.

Finally, we’ll end the day with a visit to the opening of Alchemical Imagination a 10 artist group exhibition at LIBRARY, a private members club near Covent Garden. The exhibition is organised by our co-founder Nico Epstein. The opening night will feature a sound performance by Colden Drystone and run from 6:30pm  – 11pm. As this is a members only venue, RSVP is essential.

You’re welcome to join at any part of the day but please RSVP to ensure a spot is reserved for you. If you intend to join us for the art fair, buying an advanced ticket is essential (password: ANNIVERSARY).

Invitation to a private tour of
THE MAGNUM HOME

20 May 2017, 12pm

The Peggy Society members have been invited by Plinth to a private tour of the Magnum Home - celebrating the 70 year anniversary of Magnum Photos.

A small group of Guggies has registered their interest - please give a final
RSVP to mariko@peggysociety.com. The exhibition is fully booked in advance and we have been offered an exclusive last slot, so please let us know if you are not able to make it after all as the group is small and numbers matter.

Magnum Photos is an international photographic cooperative owned by its photographer-members, with offices in New York, Paris, London and Tokyo. Over the past 70 years Magnum Photos has evolved from the “the world’s most prestigious photographic agency” to a global media brand, and 2017 marks the 70th anniversary of Magnum Photos. To celebrate the occasion, Magnum has partnered with Plinth to create its first ever range of unique products using some of their most iconic images. Household names like Martin Parr sit beside those of international photographers such as Ferdinando Scianna; the range offers the public the chance to engage directly with the work of some of the best photographers in the world.
